Sunday 14 November 2010

We had a very laid back Sunday.Breakfast, Fleamarket, lounging and baking. I cant believe I have not worked since July 23rd.The following six weeks were paid holiday but after that no more money! I have never been out of a job for this long and it's really quite strange. As soon as Henrik starts his new job on Dec 1st I will be all alone, as Im applying for jobs in Schools and nothing seems to be available til the new term starts in January.

  1. Go with the photography! Use your talent, so that the world can see all your lovely photographs. I guarantee you won't be without work.

Love the cookie cutters. Did you get them in Norway? xx

  2. Kaya- I wish I had the guts to do that but I really dont know how to use any of the settings on my camera and everything I take is a total fluke!
The cookie cutters are from Ikea, apart from the heart which is Divertimenti on Marylebone high st!

  3. Looks like I need to make a trip to Ikea for the cookie cutters. Did you make pepperkaker? With them appearing in all the stores now, I thought you might have been inspired. Good luck on the job search!

  4. Oh my! I need to go to Ikea ASAP! Those cutters are so cute! And let me add that your new home looks really, really cosy and nice. Do appreciate the time you got now to really enjoy it. You will miss that once you start working.

  5. Angela, Yes, I made pepperkaka although I cheated and bought the dough from Ikea. They did not taste that great. I usually make everything from scratch but sometimes I love to cheat!

  6. Katrine, You are quite right, I am enjoying this time off (just the no money part is a problem and I hate seeing our savings dwindling so quickly!) and I know I'll be moaning about lack of time once Im back at work. Hope you are enjoying your maternity leave!

  7. Your photographs are fab, fab, fab, because you have a natural eye for composition, light and subject. And you have the balls to experiment. Why not splash out on an DSLR (an Xmas present from hubby!). You'll be fine and I can give you help too.

I can't believe I have to go to Ikea. I rather poke my eyes out. I wish they did an on-line shop! xx

  8. Kaya, How can you hate Ikea? Are you mad, woman?! Get there at 10am just as it opens and you have the whole place to yourself! I will buy a better camera when Im working again (I've drained poor Henrik dry since September so a camera from him is out of the question. My immigration fees equal a very nice camera!)
