Slapsefjell

Today this lovely book arrived from the super talented Bjorn Rune Lie.
It was a present for Henrik and he LOVED it. Beautiful illustrations by
the lovely Norwegian Bjorn. I'd love to buy some of his work but it's a bit
out of my price range at the moment but someday.......

Five things I look forward to this summer....

I was tagged by Brinja so here we go
1.Going to Norway and swimming in the fjord,eating prawns and long days
with plenty of sunshine.
2.Our first wedding anniversary on August 2nd which will be spent sailing to
Denmark. Can't wait.
3.No work for six weeks so plenty of time for mini road trips around England .
4. Moving into our new flat (not physically moving cause I hate that but having
a new place is very exciting)
5.No tights,no socks,no coats.

The weekend

We spent most of it flat hunting, taking breaks to eat and relax.
We have put an offer on the flat we want so should hear back soon.
Im looking forward to moving but also want our weekends free as
I am missing our weekend road trips. I found a few things in a junk
shop locally including this cute Norwegian jug and a Swedish dish.

The flat I want

Henrik and I are flat hunting, not my favourite task but it has to be done.
Whilst wandering around Marylebone on Saturday I spotted this place, its
my ideal little flat but sadly not for sale (and even if It was it would be way
out of our price range!) I can but dream!

Cups and saucers

I have made some more, mainly for gifts but I must say Im
obsessed by making them!

Columbia Rd (again!)

The sun woke me at 4.51am so by 7am I was raring to go somewhere!
The minute Henrik stirred I had him up,in the car and at Columbia Rd
Flower Market eating bacon rolls. We bought a little lemon tree and succulents
to feed my newest obsession!

Sunny Saturday

The weather in London is amazing. We had an early French toast breakfast in
the garden and now we are just hanging out enjoying the heat (while it lasts!)

Friday at home

After having my mum staying this week I was in need of a day to potter around at home and thats just what I did. I lay in the garden reading Swedish Home magazines (actually I just looked at the pictures, cause I cant really read Swedish but can pick up a few words as they are similar to Norwegian) Back to school on Monday, then only seven weeks til the summer holidays!!!

The thing is......

the plan was to make these as presents for friends but every time I make one I
now keep it! Looking forward to Friday as school ends for half term plus it is
a bank holiday so I think a little weekend trip is in order.

Happy Birthday Norway

Today we went to the Norwegain Constitution day celebrations here in London. Its nice to see how other countries do it (seeing as though England has no day of celebrations for anything) Henrik then made waffles for our friends-Norsk Stylie!

Lynton & Lynmouth

We explored these 2 lovely Somerset villages last weekend. Lynmouth
is known locally as "Little Switzerland" and Lynton is right next door and
requires a water powered train up a very steep hill to get there, it was worth
the effort though!

My birthday evening

We had a birthday dinner with our good friends. They made me a delicious
birthday cake.
