Saturday

An early trip into town to meet a friend for breakfast.
Some treats from Selfridges, planting some bulbs to
hurry spring along and an afternoon getting to know my
new mac (a very early birthday present from Henrik)
Its funny how far ahead my new mac is to my 3 year old
one.

I love these books

Whenever I have some spare time I love to pour over these Jeu de Paume books. I love seeing inside other peoples places and finding inspiration.

Recycled goodness

I love these little guys from the Brick Lane Sunday Up-market.
There were too many to choose from so I think I'll have to go
back for more!

Snow day

Today in London we had the heaviest snow for 18 years. School was closed so no work for me and Henrik could not get to work cause there were no trains. We had fun with our friends on Primrose Hill all day and then came home, drank hot chocolate and got cosy.

Morning/evening

Our bedroom window looks so grim and cold in the morning
but warm and cosy in the evening.
I cant wait for the summer.

Norwegian treats

I love the packing on these sweets I bought back from Norway.
I've been savouring them for the last few weeks but now they
have all gone and all thats left is the lovely packaging...

Baking day

Im a good cook but a terrible baker as I hate
reading recipes. I hate being specific about
amounts and I suppose thats pretty important!
BUT I have managed to make up this banana bread
recipe and its delicious (so much for my diet!) if
you, like me are not into doing as you are told! I also
replace the ounces for table spoons, even easier!

Book love

I'm loving this book at the moment. Such cute patterns and as
a bonus a lovely dvd so you can upload them to your computer
and play around with them.
(although I did experience a few problems as it's more geared
up for a pc than a mac) I still love it though.

January

Henrik is really busy with work, Im off sick with a sore
throat and a raging temperature. Its dark early.
Im ready for the spring to arrive!

It snowed!

Our first proper snow of the winter! Can wait to go out
in it!

Happy new year!

I will be sad to say goodbye to 2008 as its been my best year ever. In August I married the wonderful Henrik and enjoyed a totally unforgettable day. Lets hope 2009 is just as happy. Happy new year.

Christmas in Norway (part 2)

Sadly over christmas my camera decided to die so I had to
make do with my phone camera, not too bad but Im missing
my lovely panasonic lumix!

Christmas in Norway

We had a lovely Christmas, spent on Oslo fjord. Beautiful blue skies,
lots of sunshine and freezing cold temperatures.

Lovely gifts

Even when Im Christmas shopping I always buy myself a little gift whilst
Im doing it. This time I bought myself a lovely marimekko bird tray and
mug, the tray was too expensive but I could not resist!
Also this week we received two belated wedding presents, a beautiful
restored Ercol chair and a lovely bowl made from an old tree stump.

Oh christmas tree, Oh christmas tree

I know I said we were not getting a tree but in Ikea the other day I found a sweet little one in a pot and I could not resist (Ive kept it in its soil and Im hoping to plant it in the garden in January) It makes the living room smell all christmassy. Lovely.

Looking forward....

....to being here in a few weeks instead of Christmas in London.

Our Wedding day

Ive been going through our wedding photographs this evening making
an album of all the pictures that I like but that did not make it into our
official album. It rained on our special day, from the moment
we woke up right up until we went to bed!
