Saturday morning

When I'm not woken by my alarm my natural waking time is always 8.16am.
I could easily go back to sleep but I actually love those few hours that I have to myself whilst Henrik is still sleeping. He will sleep til 12 if I don't wake him. I make myself a latte, call my mum, faff around, read blogs, watch crap tv programmes that he hates but by 11.30 I've had enough and I drag him from bed.
This morning was dark and you can feel Autumn in the air. I'm not ready yet for another long, cold, dark nordic winter. arrrrrrrrrrrrgh!

  1. I was just looking at your photos and thinking how I miss home, and then you mentioned the winter and I felt a little better.

I love my mornings too, my other half is such a night owl that I get to watch all the movies he refuses to watch with me before he gets up! :)

    1. Ah, yes. Long cold winters are a real killer for me (and I'd imagine much longer up in Finland!) Enjoy your mild Irish winter! (and your mornings to yourself!)

  2. Where did you get the bird feeder (I'm assuming that's a bird feeder)? Your photos just reminded me to use up some of our tea lights.

    1. Hi Lien,
yes, it's a bird feeder from a company called "born in Sweden" and I bought it at DesignTorget here in Norway but I think you can also buy them from Amazon UK. The birds love it! (and I've turned into a crazy bird watcher!)

    2. Thanks very much! It's not too exxy to send to Australia - will have to get one as we have a lot of native birds in our backyard and it would be nice to have them closer to our house.

  3. I say bring on winter! I'm tired of sweaty pits and stinking hot TUBE. Of course...it may be different for you, up there...

Also love the birdfeeder. I suppose here in our neighbourhood I could fill it with beer and catch some of the local wildlife flocking. SNORT.
