Comfort food

Potato cakes with white bean & celery soup. Just what you need when its -13c (and ,yes, I am obsessed with checking the temperature here in Norway!) I walked to the shop today to buy some parsley and in the five minutes it took me to walk home the bloody parsley was frozen and dead!

  3. Hi Flora. I just used left over, cold mashed potato and added enough flour to make a dough that is not too sticky. I then roll into a small ball, flatten them down and cut with a cookie cutter. No official recipe Im afraid, just something I throw together! Then I cook them in the oven for about 30 minutes, covering them in butter, salt and pepper whilst they are still hot. They are so good!

  4. One can get frozen herbs for cooking. They are great for decoration though!

I'm not surprised you are checking the temperature. It is the sport of the English. xx
