Pooped

Today I have been on the first day of a two day Makaton course and I feel totally overloaded with information! It was so much fun and Im amazed that in just one day I learned to sign so many useful things! Im totally exhausted now though and need an evening on the sofa doing nothing more taxing than lifting the remote control!

Sunny Saturday

Its a beautiful sunny day here in London, not sure when we will get out as Henrik has not surfaced yet (he has become totally obsessed with the Winter Olympics,shouting loudly at the TV in Norwegian) after only getting to bed at 5am. Im hoping for a walk up to Hampstead later but who knows??

Friday

Today involved dropping Henrik at the station, shopping for clothes for school (things I dont care if they get covered in paint,clay,playdough,snot etc!) doing a food shop, making the Door Sixteen chili again,listening to Doves and Kasabian,watching Glee,making some blueberry jellies
and contemplating making a blueberry cake from The Hummingbird Bakery book.
I might go and get a manicure later cause my hands/nails are so horrid from the cold weather....

This morning

Im taking it easy, lay in bed drinking coffee (I have a whole pot next to the bed so I dont have to move a muscle, lazy huh?) and reading magazines.

Wednesday

Its half term holiday and Im halfway through a week off work. Just put my mum on the train to Liverpool after having her stay for a few days, now I have the rest of the week for myself.... lovely!
Managed to find a few junk shop treasures when up in Liverpool at the weekend-a glass cakestand,cups and saucers and a few little jugs (and new Converse as a Valentines present from Henrik,to replace my sorry looking, battered old pair)

Sunday

Another relaxing Sunday (just how I like them) Flowers,tea and bacon sandwiches on Columbia Rd then back home to cook and relax. I've now caught up with Lost and Glee.

Bits of the weekend

It was a quiet weekend with some wandering around East London and much time on the sofa.
I made the delicious veggie chili from Door sixteen and a banana loaf from the Hummingbird Bakery cook book. Tomorrow is February so we can say goodbye to January, the most depressing month of the year (in my humble opinion!)

Things I want

I have my eye on three things at the moment (I just got paid so Im itching to spend!)
I cant afford the ring but I can the cushion and the print!! Woo hoo!!

Im a massive fan of Ikea. Some people find it stressful as it can be so busy but not me, its where I go to de-stress and buy myself a few cheap treats. This evening after work I popped in and bought this lovely wool blanket (the last thing I needed was another blanket but what the hell!!)
