House peek

Little house peek for you there in the top left hand corner :)
It's not our forever house, it's our "okay we need to get on the property ladder in Norway" house.
It's further away from Oslo than we would prefer and we will now have to both commute to work (about an hour each way) but it's surrounded by aaaaaaaaaamazing forests and nature..
It's only ten minutes from our cabin and if our neighbours chopped down some trees we would have a view of the Oslofjord (which is just five minutes walk away)
It's only small but it's cute and has under floor heating and a cute little wood burner(important when it's -20c outside) and a walk- in wardrobe.
It's ours and we cannot wait to move in :)

  2. Congratulations! The house looks lovely and your description of the surroundings fantastic! Good luck with your move, I wish we were as far as you with our house hunting. Is there any possibility that you can get out of your contract of your current flat to an earlier date? Maybe by presenting another possible tenant to your landlord?

    1. thanks Katrine! No chance of getting out of our contract so we will just try to make the most of the situation by moving very slowly and calmly! We will have beds at both places so we can chooses to stay closer to Oslo some nights whilst we are getting organised at our new place :)

    2. Ahhh, I see. Not getting out of the contract might indeed be a bit of a bummer, but being able to move slowly sounds pretty good. I always hate this "you have to get everything ready and done both at your old and your new place" at once to a fix date. And after weeks of hustle and bustle your sitting with a big bang there between your boxes and try to adjust your furniture (finding out it doesn´t work in some places as you thought)... Nice to build up a new home feeling slowly.
      All the best!

  7. Hi Lisa. Been too long! Your new house looks sweet. I'll be moving in a few weeks too. (Only within the same area, but still - there's a lot of stuff to deal with.) Hope your move goes smoothly and that you'll be very happy in your new home! :-)

    1. Janne! Helloooooo! Yes, it's been way too long! I would love to meet up again soon once we are both settled in our new places! We thought about moving to Nesodden but I could not face a boat journey every morning during the winter :)
