Happy 1st advent

I always thought advent started on Dec 1st (thats the day I used to open the first little window on my advent calender) but this year we are doing things Henrik's family tradition way and started today with our four candles, he will light one candle each Sunday on the run up to Christmas. We did'nt have the correct advent candle holder so Henrik whipped one up out of some things we already had!
We also shopped in Heal's today for some new decorations...

Almost the weekend

Its been a long old week despite being off work for a day and a half (that swine flu vaccine left me feeling like crap) Dying for the weekend to arrive for a lie in, seeing the christmas lights being turned in in Primrose Hill, Christmas carols and The Cologne Christmas market at the Southbank. Im really getting in the festive mood now....

Finally some nice light, this week has been grey, wet and stormy.

Columbia Rd wander

After spending saturday indoors we got up bright and early to visit the flower market, we drank coffee, ate bagels and bought a few succulents and bulbs then wandered back home again. We are now back on the sofa, its raining and there is a sausage stew in the oven.....

Halloween

We had a great Halloween with our friends and their kids, trick or treating in Primrose Hill, came home with bags full of loot which my sweet- loving husband spent the rest of the evening scoffing.
It was great fun and we were easily the best dressed trick or treaters in Primrose Hill!
