Day at home

Spent the day pottering around the house, only one more day of school holiday. Hmph!

Kempton antique fair

On Tuesday we went and checked out the antique fair at Kempton race course, typically we got there as they were packing up and I was gutted that all the good bargains had been nabbed by 7am.
I did manage to find another sewing box (this time filled to the brim with sewing goodies) and a sweet fox door knocker (which I have been admiring on a door on Columbia rd for months!)

Giveaway birds

We gave these away at our wedding and the lovely Sara, who made them also gave me all the "rejects" that are slightly different sizes, but still lovely. Leave me a comment if you would like one, I have 4 spare.

Furniture graveyard

Been up to Liverpool this weekend and discovered this warehouse full of old furniture.
All of it cheap too, I was in heaven when I spotted a stack of lovely Ercol chairs and tables but did not buy anything (sadly) No room in the car but next time Im hiring a big van and bringing lots back to London!

This weekend

Henrik's parents, Lars and Unni are over from Norway for a few days, we had a late night with them on Saturday resulting in a very lazy Sunday morning before meeting up with them again.
They loved our new flat which made us both very happy....

Thrifted

Pontesa teapot and 4 matching plates and an art deco frame. Lovely!
I seem to be doing well picking up nice,cheap bits and pieces at the moment which means there is a dry spell on the way and soon I will find nothing!

The weekend

Had a relaxing weekend, just pottering around locally. Sorting the flat out ready for Henrik's parents visit next weekend.

Thrifted

Been after a sewing box like this for a while (not that I can sew!) and pounced on this one at a car boot sale on Sunday. It reminds me of my ercol table and rocking chair so fits in nicely. Have not decided what to use it for ye(seeing as I dont sew!)..... Any suggestions?
Also got this little cup and saucer and Woods ware jug for £1 each.

Autumn

Autumn has arrived in London. Socks are on. We visited lots of car boot sales today, will show you my loot tomorrow. Sunday night already. ugh
